Algevon and his Judges Court team get their revenge

After suffering a heartbreaking loss to team Showtime of Detroit at the Lebron James Shooting All Stars tourney, Algevon and his Judges Court Team had to regroup to prepare for their Fist/Judges court tournament. There were 10 teams in the 12u division. But one in particular caught the teams eye and that was Showtime of Detroit! In order to get a chance to play Showtime they had to face several teams. Judges court started the tournament out by losing their first game to the Michigan Warriors, a team they have beaten 8 times in a row. Algevons play in this game was not great but it was good enough to almost pull out the win if the entire team had came ready to play. They lost the game by 2 pts..

They won the next game by forfeit because the Michigan Threat arrived too late. After that they went on a tear and won two straight games. Disposing of Triple Threat and the X-Factor team. Algevon stepped his game up against these two opponents averaging 20 pts. 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Playoff play was next and they faced a revenge driven Triple Threat team they beat earlier in the tourney. Once again Algevon stepped it up and had a great game with 25 pts. 15 rebounds and 5 blocks which helped his team to a blowout victory.

Next up was the championship game and you know who else made it there. Thats right Showtime of Detroit! This game was one of the best 12u games I have witnessed in a long time. Both teams came out on fire in the first half scoring back and forth. At half time the score was tied at 36. In the beginning of the second half the game remained tight but judges court started to pull away because of spectactular defense and offense from “Big Al”. He blocked five shots and scored at will in the half. Showtime had to rely on jump shots that were not falling and they had no answer for Algevon. Judges court won the game by the score of 62 to 56. Algevon finished with 35 pts.15 rebounds and 8 blocked shots.

Algevon Eichelberger Jr. Took His "A" Game to the Lebron James Shooting Stars Tournament

Algevon Eichelberger Jr., the gifted basketball player out of Saginaw, Mi. has made me a believer once again. He played incredibly at the Lebron James Shooting Stars tourney in Akron, Ohio.
His team, Judges Court faced tough competition from teams from all over the country in the 12u division. Algevon showed why he is probably the best 12 yr. old in the state of Michigan if not the best in the midwest.
His offensive play was just as superior as his defense was. Teams like DC. Takeover, New Jersey Select, Showtime out of Detroit Mi. and others had no answer for him.
He averaged 20pts 5blks 13 rebounds 2 steals per game. His biggest game came in a 3rd round playoff loss to Show time out of Detroit,Mi.. In that game he had 27pts. 6blks. 16 rebounds. He also caused several players to foul out while trying to guard him. Despite his and his teams stellar play, they bowed out with a 7 point loss.
His team, Judges Court with coach Antione Joubert at the helm placed in the top ten out of 60 teams. With this type of play against teams from around the country, all I can say is WOW!! Some D1 coach somewhere better keep an eye on this young man.
