They lost their first game in the championship bracket to team Felton by 5 pts. The loss placed them in the 3rd round consolation bracket. Buckeye Prep Elite Showcase 2011

Algevon attended this well known showcase with hopes of learning how
his game stacked up to other players from the mid-west. They started
the showcase out with 30 minutes of dribbling and shooting drills. After that
They were assigned to teams. From there on out it was straight up basketball
games all day. Algevon's team was small but the little guys played with heart
all day and ended up winning all there games. Algevon was selected to play in
the all star game. He had a very good game. But his team ended up loosing the
game. If his team had won Algevon would have gotten mvp. But since they lost
he received a plaque for being one of the top five performers. Overall Algevon
was the best player in the 7th grade division at the showcase. He looks forward
to returning next year and getting that MVP trophy.
